NSCI SAFETY AWARDS - 2010

Applications Invited for NSCI Safety Award-2010 (Construction Sector)

Objectives :

To recognise construction establishments for their consistent and meritorious Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) performance and implementing effective OSH Management Systems, practices & procedures and for developing & strengthening effectively the Client - Contractor - Subcontractor chain for achieving high standards of OSH

Eligibility :

  • Any company or firm executing "building and other construction work" as defined under the BOCW Act, 1996
  • Any project / construction site registered as "establishment" under the BOCW (RECS) Act, 1996 or any contractor licensed under the Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act 1970, and employed 100 or more building workers and worked for at least 240 days during the Assessment Period.

Assessment Period : One calendar year (2009) previous to the Awards Year-2010

Similar Awards are given to the Establishment and the Client.
Establishment which could score the qualifying score of 70% and above but could not win any of above Awards will be sent letter of Appreciation.

The list of all the establishments that have scored 70% and above will be published in NSC Industrial Safety News and uploaded on the NSC website.

Application Form Fee : Rs. 750/- (for Members & Non-Members)
 
How to Apply :
Application Forms along with Rules & Regulations for participation in the NSCI Safety Awards - 2010 can be obtained from NSC Office by sending the attached 'Request for Application Form' duly filled-in with a demand draft for Rs. 750/- (Rupees Seven Hundred Fifty only) drawn in favour of "National Safety Council" payable at Navi Mumbai / Mumbai in an envelope superscribed "NSCI Safety Awards-2010".
